Cams Driftin Hank is by our stallion FK Snow Camo (aka Cam) and out of Sheza Prissymaid Jet (aka Prissy) by Pegasus Top Gun. I think he is destined to become a competitive divisional barrel racing horse.
Hank’s sire Cam is bred in PC Cowan fashion. Cam’s sire Flying Hearts Tuffy is by Sun Frost and out of Tuff Time Peppy mare. Cam’s dam Bailey’s Drifter is Driftwood topside and Laughing Boy bottom.
Prissy was old time race horse bred. Her sire Pegasus Top Gun goes back to Easy Jet and Dash for Cash, and her dam Miss American Maid goes back to Easy Jet and and The Ole Man.
Hank has a nice long stride and a smooth way of going. He may well reach 16 hands when he matures. He is what we call thoroughbredie (to look like a thoroughbred slender and racy looking). Hank is easy going, he gets along with other horses in the pasture – he is not an alpha type horse. Hank doesn’t seem to be mind being alone in the pasture.
Hank has 3 months professional training with Casper May (world champion roper) back in the spring/summer 2025. In addition to the stride, Hank will likely be more of a push style runner. He does all the things a 3YO should do: stands tie for hours, baths, stands for farrier, loads, and rides.
A word about Deb and my program. We are both in our 70s and we are cautious folks. Once they come back from Casper they go into our rotation. (Yes, we have more horses than we can work in a day — it’s a great time to trade with us.) Casper has them old folks safe when they come back but still yet we double down with ground work and desensitization.
I think Hank will make a good divisional barrel racing horse. Depending on rider he could make a 1D horse. He is paid in full to Future Fortunes and TQHA Barrel Racing Incentive.
